Parent Handbook

First Time Swimmers Night & Registration On May 12th 4:30-6:00 at Putnam County YMCA

• Registration

• Evaluation for first time swimmers in the pool- swimmers will need to be able to make it across the pool 25 yards without assistance.Swimmers do not need to know the strokes, but keep head above the water and swim down the pool.

Chicken BBQ Fundraiser

- Will take place at our Home meet on June 10th

- All families will receive 5 tickets to purchase/sell.  If you need more, let us know 

-Money or any used tickets will be due by June 2nd

- We will pass out tickets at registration night and the first week of practice

*This is the only fundraiser we do for this team

** Please note for Summer Swim 2025

• All swimmers are required to swim at least one swim meet in the summer swim season (In order to swim at Championships a swimmer must swim in at least 2 meets)

• All parents are required to volunteer for at least 2 home meet this season (sign up online for meets and volunteers)

Tentative First Day Morning Outside will be May 27th 

*Practice groups will be determined as registration forms are returned.  We will notify all families of practice times as we get closer to start of the season

Practice Times:

Morning - Begins May 27th                Evening *NEW THIS SEASON - Begins June 2nd

9:15-10:00    Practice group 1 (mid level)         Evening Practice only days there is not a meet (home or away)

9:30-10:00     Practice group 2 (early level)        6:00-7:30 pm (eveing time will be adjusted for younger swimmers)

10:00-11:30    Practice group 3 (high level)        

*swimmers are not expected to attend all practices, morning or evening can be attended.  Evening practices may be adjusted as needed depending on attendance and coach availability
